Telecommunication Industry News & Updates.- Dissident shareholder Carl Icahn appears to have ended his attempt to force the breakup of Time Warner by taking control of its board. Icahn's apparent retreat -- he will run five candidates instead of 14 -- comes after a public campaign in which Icahn accused Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons of mismanaging the company.
