Daily VoIP News.- eBay bought VoIP provider Skype Technologies for $2.6 billion. The deal will boost eBay's efforts to reach new customers and give Skype additional cash as it expands its VoIP services. A lot of people that don't understand how business networking and joint ventures work, though that the eBays decision was stupid, because they could it start their own VoIP service for less. But, what they didn't understand is that eBay didn't just bought the company and services, they bought a direct connection to millions of Skype subscribers, that didn't use or know about eBay, plus they can make money from a hot service.
