P2P NEWS: P2P startup may buy Grokster this year

Daily Telecom News by Luis Galarza

P2P Industry News & Updates.- Mashboxx, a startup company that's trying to build a legal file-sharing model for music (hopefully they do it), is in talks acquire Grokster, the P2P service that recently lost big when the Supreme Court said companies that promoted illegal file-swapping could be sued for copyright violations. Financial terms of the possible deal weren't revealed, although an acquisition of Grokster isn't expected to cost much, if anything, at least not after the lawsuit.
